Visitation, funeral set for infant who was killed by pit bull in Detroit
Tarilyn Bowles attacked by dog while in car seat on floor of mother's friend's home
Funeral services are this week for a 3-week-old girl killed by a pit bull attack in Detroit after her mother put her car seat on the floor of a house.
Visitation is Tuesday and a funeral is Wednesday for Tarilyn Luciana Bowles.
Arrangements are being handled by Risko-Ferguson Funeral Home.
Police say the 24-year-old mother entered the house Thursday on the city's west side and placed the car seat with her daughter on the floor.
Police say the woman walked away and returned to see the pit bull attacking her daughter. The infant was taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead.
The dog was euthanized following the attack.
