Woman carjacked at intersection on Detroit's east side

2 men force victim out of car at Mac Crary, Mapleridge

DETROIT – Detroit police say a 31-year-old was carjacked Sunday afternoon while pulling up to an intersection on the city's east side.

Police said the victim was approaching Mac Crary and Mapleridge just before 4 p.m. when she was forced out of her blue 1998 Buick Lesabre by two men. They then took off with her car.

The only descriptions of the carjackers released by police were that they were black men in their 20s – one with an afro and a white T-shirt and the other was wearing a red baseball cap.
