Woman found Tuesday clinging to life in Pontiac home dies

33-year-old Tanisha Silas McDanial dies day after she is found clinging to life in her Pontiac home

PONTIAC, Mich. – The Pontiac woman found clinging to life in her home on Tucker Street has died.

The 33-year-old woman, Tanisha Silas McDanial, was found inside her home by police late Tuesday evening.

McDanial's aunt told Local 4 she was brain dead.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office originally said she was found murdered in the home. They also believed she had been beaten, but further investigation shows she had been shot.

Her silver 2005 Ford Explorer with Michigan license plate CLN 1687 is missing. It is presumed stolen.

The Sheriff's Office has not identified any suspects. No arrests have been made.

Police say McDanial may have interrupted a robber in the home.

Anyone with information on or her missing vehicle should call the Sheriff's dispatch at 248-858-4911 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.

A $1,000 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest.

McDanial and her husband were married for one year and had no children.

Police say the husband is cooperating with investigators and is grief-stricken.

He is not a suspect at this time.
