STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -

An Armada man was arrested at his home for six counts of child pornography.

The investigation against Bryan Pascal Pearl began May 3, when Pearl's Sterling Heights-based employer notified police that Pearl's work computer may have contained child pornography.

A forensic exam of the computer by Sterling Heights investigators confirmed the existence of the pornographic material.  The file was presented to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s office on May 15 and the warrant was authorized. 

Among the charges:

Counts 1 – 5:   Child Sexually Abusive Material – Possession

                       Each count is a 4-year Felony and / or $10,000.00

 

Count 6:          Computers – Using to Commit a Crime

                       Maximum imprisonment of 4 years or more, but less than 10 years

 

Pearl was arraigned before Magistrate Piatek in the 41A District Court, at which time bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety only. 

A preliminary exam is scheduled for May 29 at 9 a.m. before the Honorable Judge Maceroni.
