OK, we need to talk about Saturday.

Earlier in the week, you may recall my discussing an upper level disturbance which, at that time, was over the Pacific northwest. As expected, that disturbance has dropped down into the nation's midsection, and will soon turn northeast. While I still expect the actual disturbance itself to pass just to our southeast, enough moisture could get in here to increase our cloud cover, and possibly even generate a shower or two -- with the best chance being the farther south and east you are in our area.

This aspect of the forecast has vexed me all week long, and I'm still uncomfortable with it. Hopefully, tomorrow's computer models will offer a better handle on just how much moisture will get into southeast Michigan. Highs Saturday ranging from the upper 70s in areas with a bit more cloud cover, to near 80 for those of you with more sun.

Partly cloudy Saturday night, with lows in the mid 60s.

Partly cloudy on Sunday -- perhaps even mostly sunny if the moisture associated with Saturday's upper level disturbance moves out quickly enough. Highs in the low 80s. Mostly clear Sunday night, with lows in the mid 60s.

Mostly sunny both Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the mid 80s on Monday, and soaring into the upper 80s on Tuesday. Overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s Monday night and Tuesday night.

Then we see thunderstorm chances on Wednesday and Thursday.
