Night club fight led to Detroit shooting near Greektown, witnesses say

Cameras near the scene may reveal more on gunman, who remains at large

DETROIT – There is still blood on the sidewalk Sunday after three people were shot near Greektown overnight.

Two women and one man were shot next to their party bus at the corner of St. Antoine and East Congress Street around 1:20 a.m.

Witnesses say Downtown and Greektown were packed with people enjoying their Saturday night prior to the shooting. They say the shooting was the result of an argument at a Downtown club that continued on Congress. As people were getting on the party bus, a car pulled up and a man got out and started firing.

A 23-year-old man from Detroit was hit in the ankle and grazed in his calf. EMS transported him to the hospital.

A 28-year-old woman from Ferndale was hit in the leg. The party bus driver rushed her to the hospital in the bus.

A 22-year-old woman from Oak Park was grazed in both legs and was rushed to the hospital in a car.

All three are in temporary serious condition.

Police say there are cameras throughout the area, so they hope to get a better look at the gunman and circumstances around the crime.
