A Wayne County judge has ordered state Treasurer Andy Dillon and his ex-wife to have no contact unless it involves their children.
Andy Dillon and Carol Dillon each asked for personal protection orders. Judge Susan Hubbard turned down those requests Tuesday. But online court records show she issued a restraining order.
Andy Dillon's attorney, James Harrington, says it means no contact with very few exceptions. He says it's appropriate. He says Andy Dillon doesn't want to be distracted from his state job.
A message seeking comment couldn't be left for Carol Dillon because her voicemail was full.
Andy Dillon accused her of making threats and recently stealing his state phone from a car. He says it had confidential information. He says it was returned by her to state police.
