Man dies when pickup loses control, crashes on I-75 in Auburn Hills

Police say 21-year-old victim wasn't wearing seat belt

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – A 21-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning when he was ejected from his pickup truck as it lost control on Interstate 75 in Auburn Hills.

Police said the Chevy S-10 pickup was traveling northbound near Walton Boulevard around 5 a.m. when it left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail.  Police said the pickup then then veered left across all lanes and hit a concrete median wall.

The victim, who is from Columbus Township in St. Clair County, died at the scene.

Police said he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
