Northville Township man back to court Friday for child porn charges

PLYMOUTH, Mich. – A probable cause hearing is scheduled Friday morning for a Northville Township man who faces 12 felony charges after, police said, a "large volume" of child sexually abusive material was seized from him.

Police say James Ciccarelli, 53, had videos and images of child pornography.

Ciccarelli was arrested and arraigned earlier this month in front of Judge James Plakas of the 35th District Court in Plymouth. A not-guilty plea was entered. his bond was set at $100,000 or 10 percent.

If Ciccarelli is released from jail he is ordered not to access the Internet, not to have any contact with children and he must wear a GPS tether.

He faces the following charges:

-- Three counts of child sexually abusive activity -- distributing or promoting
-- Three counts of using the computer or Internet to communicate with another to commit a crime
-- Three counts of possession of child sexually abusive material
-- Three counts of using a computer to commit a crime
