NOVI, Mich. – A teacher in Novi is under investigation for allegations of inappropriate conduct with multiple students.
There are no charges but Novi police are investigating the allegations. Novi police say the accusations were brought to them.
Both police and Novi Community Schools Superintendent Dr. Steve Matthews say it is very early in the investigation.
"We are placing this person on administrative leave until the police let us know exactly what, and if, charges will be filed. At that point we'll make a decision about the future of that employee," said Matthews.
Matthews said he was told about the investigation within the past few weeks.
"I don't know the details of the investigation. I don't know what the allegations are completely. All I know is that the police told me that this is about inappropriate contact with students," he said.
