ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

The search for 11 stolen guns continues for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department.

Two handguns, three semi-automatic rifles and six shotguns guns were stolen from a home in Orion Township on Valentine's Day, according to the Sheriff's Department.

A large box of ammunition and $1,000 in jewelry was stolen as well.

The homeowners told deputies their 38-year-old drug-addicted son, who was kicked out of their home a week earlier, broke into a locked room and storage container stealing the items.

He sent a text to his parents saying he sold the guns and jewelry for drugs.

Saturday morning, the suspect was arrested in Pontiac. The missing jewelry was recovered from a gold shop in Auburn Hills.

The investigation continues to recover the stolen guns.

The suspect is being held in the Oakland County Jail on a charge of Home Invasion and violating parole.
