BEVERLY HILLS, Mich. -

The Road Commission for Oakland County reminds residents that children should not play in or on the snow piles along roads because snowplow drivers may not be able to see the children.

"Occasionally children build snow forts in the piles of snow at the side of roads or in cul-de-sacs or play on or behind them," says RCOC Maintenance Director Darryl Heid.

Heid says its best to keep children completely away from the snow piles at the sides of the roads and in cul-de-sacs.
