Oakland University raises in-state tuition 3.75 percent

Tuition rate hiked 3.75 percent for 2013-2014

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Oakland University is raising in-state tuition by 3.75 percent for the 2013-2014 school year.

The board of trustees approved the rate hike Wednesday.  The credit hour cost remains the same for out-of-state students.

The new rate for freshmen and sophomore students will be $353.75, an increase of $12.75.  The rate for junior and senior students will increase $14 to $386.75.

Graduate and doctoral students pay $22.25 more per credit hour, at a rate of $617.50.

Rates for out-of-state students will stay the same.  Freshmen and sophomores will pay $795.75.  Juniors and seniors will pay $853.25.  Graduate and doctoral students will pay $1,027 per credit hour.

Last year, Oakland University raised tuition 2.94 percent.
