Before the center opened in 2006, astronomy and astrophysics classes would meet on the top level of the parking structure.

The Public Observing Sessions are aimed at promoting education and encouraging astronomical research.

The event begins at 10 p.m. and requires suitable sky conditions.  Inclement weather may cause the event to be canceled.
