1972: Basketball forward Grant Hill, who won NCAA championships with the Duke Blue Devils in 1991 and 1992, is born in Dallas, Texas. Hill, who was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014, also spent 19 years in the NBA, being named the 1995 NBA co-Rookie of the Year and playing seven NBA All-Star Games. He also won an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA in 1996.
