Online auction for Silverdome items

Auction runs until June 19

PONTIAC, Mich. – Seats, ribbon boards, signs and even toilets from the Silverdome are going up for auction.

Triple Investment Group, the current owner of the venue in Pontiac, is holding an online auction starting June 11. The auction will end June 19.

The Silverdome hosted some of the world's largest and best-known events in its initial 30 years of operation, including the Super Bowl, the FIFA World Cup, the NBA's All-Star Game and NBA Finals, WrestleMania III and concerts by some of the world's biggest names in music. It was also home to the Detroit Lions until 2002.

The largest recorded event at the Silverdome was the 1987 Mass celebrated by Pope John Paul II for more than 93,000 attendees.
