DETROIT -

"After I made the purchase, I thought oh my gosh, this can’t be real," said Jeff Stephenson of Trenton.

Florida 2014, a trip Jeff has been planning for months and one he won’t even take until May, but it’s already turned into a trip of a lifetime thanks to a big OOPS by Delta Airlines.

"It was like a day after Christmas sale," said Stephenson.

Every day, Jeff would get online to check and compare flight prices from DTW to MIA, and at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jeff hit the Delta jack pot.

"It would have normally cost somewhere around $640 for two tickets but it ended up being a $62 total," Stephenson said.

A $62 price tag he thought was too good to be true.

"There has to be something wrong with my iPad, something is wrong with the internet, something’s wrong," said Stephenson.

But Jeff soon found out he wasn’t alone. Another lucky passenger scored a ticket from New York to Las Vegas for $81, usually that trip costs $741. So how good of a deal did Jeff really score?

"I told the wife we’re taking that the extra $600 and spending it on a Camaro for our rent-a-car," Stephenson said.

Customers were able to take advantage of the Delta glitch between the hours of 10 a.m. and noon Thursday. Jeff tried to alert the family he’s traveling with to Florida, but they couldn’t log on in time to get the lucky deal.
