ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Orion Township woman injured in a hit-and-run is home from the hospital and calling for change.
Andrea Foy was hit by a car not far from her child's bus stop and said kids just aren't safe. She said she feared the day something like this would happen.
It was 8 a.m. Thursday when Foy had just put her daughter on the school bus and was walking back home along Heights Road.
From out of nowhere Foy was struck by a car, which kept going. A neighbor heard Foy screaming and called 911.

Police found car parts at the scene; detectives believe they belong to a 2004 Ford Focus.
Foy spent the day in the hospital, suffering from a broken thumb and a broken orbital. She's banged and bruised, but back home with her little girl and thankful things weren't worse.
Deputies said the car that hit Foy would have damage to its front corner turn sign signal light. Its mirror may also be damaged or missing.
