The parents of a 1-year-old Flint boy have been charged with murder after he was found dead in a bathtub.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton said 19-year-old Callie Rose Cserca and 29-year-old Jeremy Lewis Wise are facing second-degree murder and child abuse charges.
Their son, Aden Lewis Wise, was found Monday unresponsive in a water-filled bathtub in a home on Holly Avenue.
The child's mother told police the boy was in the living room when she put his bath toys in the tub and put in a drain plug in the tub.
The woman told police the water wasn't running when she left the bathroom. She told investigators she was distracted by an argument with her boyfriend, and she found the child face down and not breathing. She called 911 for help.
Police said EMS were called and arrived to find the boy's father performing CPR on him. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
