DETROIT - The Palace of Auburn Hills has been named one of the most vegetarian friendly sports venues in the country.
PETA bestowed the title this week to the venue, which is the home of the Detroit Pistons.
It was among 10 venues they named – the Staples Center in California was No. 1.
"Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond clearly have bright futures ahead of them, and Pistons fans can, too, thanks to healthy and delicious meat-free meals," the anti-animal cruelty organization wrote on their blog.
They tout the Palace's began Sloppy Joe's, fruit smoothies made with soy milk and salads.
Other venues on the list include the Air Canada Centre, Wells Fargo Center, BMO Harris Bradley Center, Oracle Arena, Rose Garden, United Center, AT&T Center and the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
