Bloomfield Township police said four magazine salesmen from out of state carjacked a man at a grocery store and stabbed another person during a robbery.
In a statement, police said the men in their 20s were arrested this week in Detroit, where the stabbing took place. Police said the men had been in Michigan for about two months and are being held pending charges in Detroit andBloomfield Township.
Police said the men were ticketed Sunday by Bloomfield Hills police for soliciting without a license and later that day carjacked a man in the parking lot of a Kroger on Telegraph Road.
Police arrested two men at a home in Detroit and two others at a motel in the city. Police said the two suspects at the motel were in the process of fleeing to Kansas City, Missouri.
The four are being identified as a 26-year-old man from Shreveport, LA; 23-year-old man from Birmingham, AL; 23-year-old man from Chicago, IL and 24-year-old man from Memphis, TN.
Names weren't immediately released.
The stolen vehicle was found abandoned on Detroit's west side.
