Dearborn police continue to looking into what caused a violent crash that claimed the life of a 16-year-old girl.
Destiny Henderson was killed Monday afternoon when the Ford Escort she was driving was rear-ended by a SMART bus on Michigan Avenue near American Drive.
Henderson’s car, which had been stopped at a red light, was then propelled into the back of a pickup truck.
"This is mommies little model," said Destiny's mother Makeshia Pierce, as she looked over family pictures. "I'm goanna miss her hugs and her kisses. That little soft voice," she said.
Destiny was the oldest of Pierce's six children; she was a week away from turning 17. She was a junior at Inkster High School. Grief counselors were brought into the school Tuesday to help students cope with the loss.

Pierce says she wants to know why, what caused the bus driver to hit her daughter's car?
"And when it hit home, it's like, it's unbelievable, it's a dream that you will never wake up from," said Pierce. "Appreciate them, because we are not guaranteed tomorrow."
Police said they’ve ruled out drugs and alcohol and are waiting to speak with the bus driver -- who is hospitalized.
