Police, FBI seek man accused of 4 armed robberies in Oakland County

Police say man robbed 3 banks, 7-Eleven store within past 2 months

ROYAL OAK – FBI officials and police are looking for a man who is accused of four armed robberies in Oakland County.

In less than a month, police say they believe the man has robbed four businesses at gunpoint in Royal Oak and Madison Heights, including two PNC Banks, a Charter One bank and a 7-Eleven convenience store.

Officials said the man robbed the 7-Eleven store on 11 Mile Road in Madison Heights on Dec. 18. Two days later, he allegedly robbed the PNC Bank in Madison Heights, and on Christmas Day, he robbed a PNC Bank in Royal Oak.

On Tuesday, police said they believe the same man walked into the Charter One Bank in downtown Royal Oak armed with a hand gun, threatening workers and demanding money.

"It's a little scary. Yeah I'd say that," said Kyle Issacson.

After looking at surveillance photos, police said it appears the robber wore the same black pants, black coat, black ski mask and hat with a small brim during every robbery.

Because of the similarities, police said they believe they have a serial robber on their hands.

In addition to police, FBI said they are investigating this case.
