Gunman shoots store clerk in leg during robbery Monday on Eight Mile Road

DETROIT – Southfield and Detroit police are investigating whether the same gunman is responsible for a string of recent robberies and shootings in both cities.

Southfield police said the most recent incident was Monday, when a gunman shot a clerk in the leg during a robbery at the Dollar Tree store at 20210 W. Eight Mile Road.

Police said that crime had similarities to others that had happened earlier in the month.

Police have released pictures of a gunman from one of the Detroit crimes who may be responsible for all of them.

Anyone who has information on the gunman in the pictures is asked to call Southfield police at 248-765-5500.
