INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. -

A Detroit-area man's death after being hurt in a confrontation with a teenager at a Hank Williams Jr. concert has been ruled a homicide.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, the 15-year-old boy shoved 55-year-old Robert Kobe, of Westland, on DTE Energy Music Theatre's concourse Sunday night.

Kobe fell to the ground, striking his head on concrete, causing excessive bleeding. He had been in critical condition, but was pronounced dead Tuesday just after noon.

The Wayne teen was released pending the completion of this investigation. He was at the concert with his father.

Police say the investigation will be completed by the end of next week.
