INKSTER, Mich. – A 26-year-old Inkster man was arrested Friday morning when police found an Ingram .45-caliber submachine pistol and a magazine with 28 rounds in his car.
Police responded to reports of shots fired on Parkwood Street near Middlebelt Avenue at 2 a.m. A citizen told police that he saw a suspicious black Ford Taurus speeding through the neighborhood and pulling into a Valero gas station on Middlebelt.

Police found the vehicle pulling out of the parking lot of the gas station and saw that the driver was not wearing a seat belt. They pulled the vehicle over and found a pistol case on the floor, which the driver admitted contained a weapon for which he didn't have a concealed pistol license.
The man was processed and kept at the Inkster Police Department pending a warrant authorization from the Wayne County Prosecutor Office.
