DETROIT – Authorities say there isn't enough evidence to support criminal charges against former Cass Tech High School football player Jayru Campbell in connection to the assault of an inmate in the Wayne County Jail.
Campbell was sentenced to one year of probation for assaulting his girlfriend in the hallways of Cass Tech. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor domestic violence charge in November.
