Police search for pickup driver wanted for hit-and-run on I-275

Police recover pick-up truck that hit victim; Victim suffers non-life-threatening injuries

LIVONIA, Mich. – Michigan State Police are looking for the pickup truck driver who hit a man Wednesday night on I-275.

Police said the victim was putting gas in his car around 9 p.m. on the southbound right shoulder of the interstate near M-14 when he was hit by a white Ford F-150.

The pickup truck didn't stop, but it was found a short time later in a CVS parking lot at Ann Arbor and Haggerty roads, police said.

The driver wasn't in it.

The victim is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
