Police search for man who robbed, fired shots at Chase bank in Ypsilanti Township

No injuries reported

YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Shots were fired Friday during a bank robbery at a Chase Bank in Ypsilanti Township, and surveillance cameras captured striking images of the incident.

Washtenaw County Metro Dispatch responded to a call after 5 p.m. about a robbery that had taken place at the bank located in the 5000 block of Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti Township.

Police said the robber fired shots inside the bank and demanded money from the tellers before fleeing the scene.

The robber is described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark colored hoodie and khaki-colored pants. Police said no injuries were reported.
