TEMPERANCE, Mich. – A 14-year-old girl was reunited with her family Sunday after she showed up at the Dearborn Heights Police Department about 7:30 p.m., deputies said.

Sydney Rhea Keith wasn’t hurt, said Monroe County Sheriff Dale Malone, who added that the investigation into Sydney’s disappearance is ongoing.

Dearborn Heights police, the Michigan State Police and the FBI assisted.

Previously, police said, they were worried Sydney left home possibly to meet a man she had been talking to online.

Officers said Sydney got into an unknown vehicle at 7 St. Andrews Court in Temperance and was seen talking to a heavyset white woman in the driver’s seat.

Bank footage from an ATM at a bank in Toledo, Ohio, showed Sydney withdrawing $280, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jeff Hooper at 734-224-7316.
