CLYDE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a person of interest in connection with a home invasion, vehicle theft and assault that took place in Clyde Township Friday.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said that around 8:00 p.m., a 78-year-old woman found a man in her home in the 5500 block of Carrigan Road.
The woman said the man tied her up and assaulted her, leaving her with multiple injuries.
Police said the man stole the woman’s vehicle and debit card. The woman was later taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The woman's vehicle was later located in the parking lot of Wadhams Pharmacy.
Authorities believe 50-year-old Anthony Christopher Spencer may have been involved in the string of crimes committed against the woman. Police believe Spencer lives in the Port Huron area.
