Police seek 14-year-old Taylor girl who may be lost in Detroit

Family, friends say Diamond Williams may have gone to Detroit after meeting someone on Facebook

TAYLOR, Mich. – Taylor police are concerned for the wellbeing of a 14-year-old girl who, family say, ran away from home and has been missing since Tuesday morning.

Family say this type of behavior is not the usual for Diamond Williams, who does have some mental health issues but has never run away from home.

A friend told police she received a call Tuesday from Diamond who said she was lost in Detroit. She went to Detroit after meeting someone on Facebook. Her family has not been able to get onto her Facebook page.

Taylor police, family and friends fear Diamond could be in danger.

"Her mom can't get up. She's devastated," said Bernice Reed, Diamond's aunt. "It's overwhelming when you don't know if your child is safe."

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Taylor police at 734-287-6611.
