Man, 19, charged with Lincoln Park shooting

Tobias Catron facing assault, gun charges for Wednesday's incident on Mayflower Avenue

LINCOLN PARK, Mich. – A 19-year-old Lincoln Park man has been charged with shooting a man in the neck during an argument earlier this week.

Tobias Catron turned himself in to police on Thursday, a day after he allegedly shot the 44-year-old man in a home on Mayflower Avenue.

Police said Catron got into an argument with the man, who is the father of a woman Catron knows, and it escalated to the point that Catron fire a shot. Catron then fled the scene.

The victim is expected to be OK.

Catron is facing charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm, felonious assault and felony firearm. He's expected to be arraigned Friday.
