The Arab American Political Action Committee has endorsed Warren Evans for Wayne County Executive, according to a release from Evans' campaign.

"The backing, confirmed Saturday, joins new endorsements by Crain’s Detroit Business, the Pakistani American Caucus, the Michigan Muslim Democratic Caucus and Police Commissioners Willie Bell, Ricardo Moore and Richard Shelby," read a campaign statement.

Evans, the former Wayne County Sheriff and Detroit Police Chief, is running in the Democratic primary against incumbent Executive Bob Ficano, Westland Mayor Bill Wild, County Commissioner Kevin McNamara, and state Rep. Phil Cavanagh.
