FERNDALE, Mich. – Voters in Ferndale have approved Proposal A to legalize the use or possession of up to an ounce of marijuana on private property by anyone 21 years or older.
Of those who voted, 69 percent were in favor of it and 31 percent said no.

Despite the approval, Michigan law still allows local law enforcement officers to arrest marijuana users who do not have a medical marijuana license or prescription.
