LIVONIA, Mich. – It was a family affair for Mitt Romney at his campaign offices in Livonia this morning.  Romney, his wife Ann and Governor Rick Snyder thanked Romney campaign volunteers.

Romney's niece is a local resident and has been helping campaign efforts here.

Past met present when Romney met 88 year old Bob Smith.

Smith helped with the George Romney for Michigan governor campaign decades ago and he's here to help Mitt Romney now.  Why?  "There's no corruption with the Romeny's", Smith says.

In an interview with Local 4 News Romney says he's made mistakes in his campaign but "he is who he is" and he says that is a job creator.

Romney blasted rival Rick Santorum for Santorum's Michigan campaign calls to democratic voters urging them to use the open election to vote for him.

Romney used an open primary in Massachusetts years back to vote for Democrats to help weaken the field.  Romney told Local 4 the difference is he cast his vote as a private citizen, not as a candidate for President.
