DETROIT - Forty percent of potential Detroit voters plan to write in their mayoral candidate choice at next week's Primary Election, according to a survey commissioned by MIRS.

The survey conducted between Monday and Wednesday by phone asked 500 likely voters who they would vote for on the ballot or if they planned to write in a candidate's name. The respondents also were asked if they planned to write in Mike Duggan and 92.7 percent said they were "very certain" they would.
Of those who said they were voting for a person on the ballot, 29.5 percent said they would be voting for Benny Napoleon, 7.6 percent said Tom Barrow, 6.4 percent said Lisa Howze, 5 percent said Krystal Crittendon, 1.4 percent said John Olumba, .9 percent said Fred Durhal Jr. and 9.2 percent were undecided.
