PONTIAC, Mich. - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office and Child Protective Services are investigating how a 4-year-old Pontiac boy suffered severe burns to his arm and back over the weekend.

The Sheriff's Office said the boy's parents told them they woke up Saturday morning to the screams of the child in the kitchen of their home on Matthews Street -- he was near an open oven and his shirt was on fire.

He is recovering at Children's Hospital in Detroit and is expected to be OK.
