Pony rips stake out of ground, injures people at festival

Police say there were no serious injuries

WARREN, Mich. – At least four people were injured Saturday when a pony ripped the stake it was tied to out of the ground and ran through a crowd.

The incident happened at Summerfest in Warren near Sidonie Avenue and Schoenherr Road.

Warren police say that one of the ponies at the festival got scared and pulled the stake right out of the ground. It then ran through the crowd, causing minor injuries.

At least four patients were taken to the hospital, but no one had serious injuries.
