Pregnant woman injured in crash with suspected drunken driver, Roseville police say

Natasha Watts accused of causing crash Friday morning on Groesbeck Highway

ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A 42-year-old pregnant Mount Clemens woman is in serious condition after Roseville police said she was hit by a suspected drunken driver.

Police said the victim was stopped Friday morning at a red light at Groesbeck Highway and Common Road when she was hit from behind at a "high rate of speed" by a suspected "highly intoxicated" 26-year-old Natasha Watts.

Watts tried to drive away, but her car was too damaged, police said.

The pregnant victim has non-life-threatening injuries, but police didn't say if the unborn baby had suffered any harm.

Watts was arraigned Friday on charges of operating a vehicle causing a serious bodily injury crash and driving on a revoked license.

She is being held in the Macomb County Jail.
