Two charged in Detroit infant homicide

DETROIT – A preliminary exam is scheduled Thursday for Sandford McQueen, 22, and Karen Marie Geletzke, 23, in connection with the death of a 1-year-old baby boy.

Police were called to a home in the 19300 block of Keating because an infant wasn't breathing. The child was left in the care of McQueen and Geletzke by his mother and was alleged to have been placed in a stroller covered with a blanket near a space heater. He was transferred to a local hospital and pronounced dead because of burns. The medical examiner declared it a homicide.
