Preliminary exams for two suspects accused in the murder of a 25-year-old old University of Michigan medical student are expected to be held Friday.

Joie Alexander Jordan, 20, is facing open murder, two counts of home invasion and conspiracy to commit home in the death of Paul DeWolf.

A second suspect, Shaquille Jones, of South Carolina, is charged with open murder, two counts of home invasion and conspiracy to commit home invasion for the death.

DeWolf was found shot to death July 24 at his off-campus apartment after failing to report for work at a hospital.

In addition to his medical training and aspirations, DeWolf was an Air Force 2nd lieutenant.
