You may have heard of love at first sight, but what about love at first scent?

In Phoenix, singles mingled at a "pheromone party" last week and were each given a T-shirt to smell from a prospective date.

Producing love in a Ziploc bag

Each participant was told to sleep in the same T-shirt. No body spray, perfumes, after shaves or smoking in the shirts was allowed.

The shirts were then put into a Ziploc bag and put in a freezer each morning.

Releasing the pheromones

At the party, each bag was coded with a number on a post-it note. The participants were each given a chance to open and smell the T-shirts in the bags and keep a tab on which one made them weak in the knees.

Why sniff out love?

Experts say naturally-occurring pheromones are unique – almost like a fingerprint and are important in finding a mate.

What do you think? Do you like the idea? Do you think it works?
