Rain will transition to snow Monday

DETROIT –  Cloudy skies with a little bit of rain and snow hugging the east side of Metro Detroit and Southern Ontario.

This should be all scattered light rain but some snow could try to mix in through the morning drive.

It’s dryer in our western counties to start your Monday. Highs in the low 40s with light winds SW/NW 5-10 mph today.

Look for cloudy skies with a few scattered midday showers and then snowy tonight. The Thumb region is under a Winter Weather Advisory starting tonight for what could be 3-6” of snow overnight.

Metro Detroit will see some snow showers again after sunset bringing lighter snow showers to Metro Detriot. It will still be slick Tuesday morning with about 1” of new snow around Tuesday. Highs tomorrow in the mid 30s and becoming breezy W 10-20 mph.

We will have a few snow showers present on Wednesday too but this should be light snow and flurries lingering with a dusting to add on in some spots. Temps turn much cooler Wednesday and will be quite cold the second half of the weekend and into The Winter Blast in Motown.
