Rash of daytime break-ins reported in Plymouth Township

Thieves taking televisions, computers from homes north of Joy Road, between Sheldon, Ridge

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Plymouth Township police are warning homeowners about a rash of break-ins in an area north of Joy Road between Sheldon and Ridge roads.

Since Aug. 5, police said there have been "several" break-ins and one attempted break-in between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The crooks may be going door-to-door, knocking to see if anyone is home before breaking in, police said.

The thieves are taking televisions and computers.

Police said a silver older model SUV or a gray/silver Toyota Corolla with a spoiler on the back have been seen in the area of the break-ins and may be connected to them.
