Baby shower for goats to benefit kids in need

PONTIAC, Mich. – Barely 15 hours ago, Sophie gave birth to two adorable little kids, Thor and Iris.

In the back nine acres, there's another new mom: Winnie, who recently gave birth to her 3-week-old kids Lokie and Ladybug. They may be goats, but they are philanthropic goats.

Amy, of City Girls Soap, located on the campus of Goldner Walsh, Garden and Home in Pontiac, is proud of her grandkids and is holding a baby shower.

All of the gifts will be donated to Lighthouse of Oakland County

Here's how it works: The goats are registered at Target under the name Amy City Girls Soup. You can buy gifts for human babies on behalf of the goats, and those necessary items to the clients at Lighthouse of Oakland County. Click here to view the registry on Target's website.

On June 6, everyone is invited to Goldner Walsh, Garden and Home for cake, lemonade and a full-fledged baby shower. Feel free to bring gifts for the moms and babies of Lighthouse. You can buy them online and have them delivered or bring them to the baby shower.

For more information on the event, visit the official Goldner Walsh website.
