There is shame in the game of a Wayne County judge who had an affair with a woman who had a case in his court, according to a report released Monday.
The report was prepared by retired Jackson County Circuit Court Charles Nelson, who oversaw discipline hearings in May for Judge Wade McCree.
He's admitted to having an affair with Geniene La'Shay Mott, a woman who appeared as a witness in a child-support case that was in his court.

The Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission issued a misconduct complaint against McCree earlier this year, saying his actions were irresponsible and eroded the public's confidence.
Nelson's report will go back to the Commission, who will make a final decision on any punishment.
McCree could be reprimanded, suspended or even removed by the Michigan Supreme Court.
"In final summary there is Shame in the McCree game: shame to the good name of McCree and shame brought upon the judiciary of the State of Michigan," Nelson said.
However, Nelson also wrote, "These allegations are not such as to warrant action by the JTC."
The state Supreme Court reprimanded McCree last year after he sent a shirtless photo of himself to a female court employee.
