Reward offered for information on series of Moosejaw store thefts

Police are asking for assistance in identifying people involved in retail frauds at Moosejaw stores in Grosse Pointe, Ann Arbor and Birmingham.

According to police, at 7 p.m. Jan. 17, two women stole seven Canada Goose jackets from the Moosejaw store in Grosse Pointe. They left the scene in a dark SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy or a Chevy Trail Blazer, with no plate. The vehicle was driven by a third person, police said.

Police said the same vehicle was seen leaving the Birmingham Moosejaw store after a theft Jan. 12.

The first woman is described as a black female wearing a red hat, red jacket with a white shirt underneath, blue jeans and yellow Timberland-style boots.

The second woman is described as a black female wearing a black ski cap with white trim, black jacket, black pants and black boots.

Police are also looking to question two men seen leaving the Ann Arbor Moosejaw on Jan. 11.

The first man is described as a black male in his 20s, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was wearing a Carhart beanie hat, acid wash jeans, white sneakers and a dark jacket with white sleeves. Police said there was an animal, possibly an eagle, on the jacket.

The second man is described as a black male in his 20s, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black Detroit baseball hat, acid wash jeans, black boots and a black zip-up jacket.
