Reward offered to find drivers who fled fatal hit-and-run in Detroit

DETROIT – Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information in the fatal hit-and-run of a Detroit grandmother.

On May 16, Jacqueline Mitchell was hit by three cars at the intersection of Seymour and Hayes streets.

Police said the 71-year-old was hit by a white, grey or silver Kia SUV and a black and chrome 2005 or 2008 Cadillac, that both fled the scene.

A third car involved stayed at the scene.

"We don't know why these people would hit my grandmother and leave her in the fashion that she was," said Tamikia Davis, Mitchell's granddaughter.
