DETROIT – Detroit police looking for up to four people after shots were fired during a robbery took place early Tuesday morning at the Clark Gas Station on the city's west side.
At about 4:15 a.m., a 44 -year-old truck driver stopped at the station, which is at the corner of Dexter Avenue and Davison Street, for a drink and a snack. Police said he was then ambushed.
Officers on scene told Local 4 surveillance video shows a man pumping air into his tires, while two other men wait at a nearby bus stop. Police think all three of the men were involved in trying to rob the victim.
Video from one of the surveillance cameras shows the victim running away from a gunman so fast that he slipped, fell and dove into the cement. The video shows him quickly getting back up and continue to run -- the gunman right behind him, firing a single shot that just grazed his side.
Police said the men emptied the victim's pockets, stealing his cell phone.
The victim drove back to work, almost five miles away, looking for help. He refused medical treatment, but eventually drove himself to Henry Ford Hospital, where he remains in fair condition.
Police have released the following descriptions of the men, saying they could be in a four-door, older model maroon Intrepid.

Police said a third person and a fourth person could have been involved, but stayed in a car.
